LP SmartSide siding installation and old roof replacement
The client requested the VIS Exterior crew to her home to inspect her wood siding, which had aged and been subjected to damage by woodpeckers. She wanted a completely new look to her home, which included a change of color.
Following the inspection, the VIS Exterior crew gave her an estimate, which included replacing the siding with the trusted LP Smartside product, as well as using LP Smartside soffit /fascia and aluminum gutters. As roofing experts, the estimate included a new roof for the residence, which was due for replacement.
The project started with the roof. We used GAF Timberline American Harvest shingles and installed ice and water shields 6ft. up from gutters, which prevents ice dams from occurring. We also replaced bad plywood we found during the process.
Upon completion of the roof installation, we removed the old and damaged siding. House wrap was installed and all seams were taped. She chose SW-Iron Ore as the color of the new siding and Dark Bronze for the color of the soffit/fascia and gutters.
Our customer was quite pleased with the finished product, and that our crew finished the job on time and on budget.
