LP SmartSide siding installation & gutters replacement
The homeowners were looking for a transformation in this siding and gutters project. They wanted to update their home, getting rid of the old vinyl siding and windows, which were in bad shape. Furthermore, the project was made more complex by the request of an overhang to be built on the front of the house.
XOur plan involved removing the existing siding first, which allowed us to inspect the sheeting to ensure it was in good shape and still protecting the home. We installed house wrap and started working on the windows, all of which were replaced and sealed with spray foam. We found that some openings were too small for new windows, so we reframed them to make it work.
With the new windows in place, the VIS crew trimmed windows and doors with LP Smartside 5/4×6 board. The homeowner chose a custom clay color for the siding as well as the soffit/fascia, which was installed. As usual, debris was removed from the job site so that the project never became an eyesore.
The homeowner commented that his house is now completely transformed and that the family is very happy with the results. Furthermore, the project was completed on time and one budget.
