LP Smooth SmartSide wood siding and gutters replacement
Homeowner called VIS Exterior in to inspect her siding and gutters, which she suspected needed to be replaced. Following the inspection, we gave her a $30,000 to $40,000 estimate that included removing existing Dryvit (stucco-like material) and replacing the siding and gutters. The estimate also included removing a deck.
Our first crew removed a Dryvit, which took a week to complete. With the old material off the house, our team Installed a house wrap and taped all the seams. To gain better access to the bottom of the house, we removed the deck.
With the deck removed, our team moved on to installing the wood-like smooth lap siding on the first floor. For the second floor, we installed board and batten material along with 1.5 in. trim. For the trim around the windows and doors, we used white LP Smartside smooth 5/4×4 trim, as well as 5/4×6 for the upper and 5/4 x10 for the bottom frieze board on the second floor.
While this project involved a couple of different phases, the homeowner was happy that we made quick work of the old material removal and new siding installation. As always, we also completed the job within the stated budget.
