LP SmartSide lap siding installation and shingle roof replacement
Customers in need of exterior work to their homes take notice when they see the VIS Exterior team on a job. This client saw us working at a project in Indian Head Park and inquired with that client about our services. Happy with what they ascertained, they contacted VIS Exterior and we talked about their property and its needs, which included a new roof, new siding and gutters.
Some homes do not require the removal of the original roofs, which means the new materials can be installed atop the existing one. However, this project required tearing off the existing roof and materials, as we had to replace the plywood sheeting underneath. After we removed the materials and hauled everything away, we installed new underlayment and sheeting, as well as pewter gray GAF Timberline HDZ shingles.
Following the completion of the roof phase, our crew moved on to the siding, which involved removing the old siding and replacing it with LP Smartside lap siding and LP trim around the windows, soffits and fascia. Aluminum gutters were installed with “Bulldog” bran guards. Finally, we also installed a new front door. The customer was pleased that one contractor could handle all the different aspects of the project.
