Vinyl siding installation, shingle roof & gutters replacement after hail damage
Due to the hail damage, the client requested that VIS Exterior work with his insurance company, which is something we do often in these situations.
First, our team met with the homeowner and provided a free inspection. During the inspection and estimate process, he was surprised with our knowledge of dealing with insurance adjusters.
Due to the extent of the hail damage, he wanted the roof, siding, gutters and downspouts replaced.
The first task on the list was to replace the roof with GAF Timberline HD shingles, which came in a Charcoal color, per the customer’s request. This project also called for installing a new power vent and new roof vents. To prevent ice dams from forming, the VIS team installed water shields 6 ft. up from the gutters.
Following the roof replacement, we removed all siding from the house and installed 1⁄4-in. For added protection from the heat and cold. Finally, we installed new DH vinyl siding, which came in a white color.
Aside from being pleased with our expertise in dealing with insurance companies (and getting his company to cover additional materials), he was happy with the outcome of the project, including the fact that it finished on time and at the price we quoted him.
